Volunteer Training

A great turn out for the Vision website editors training today at Kennet School. Our amazing volunteers are the best! Thatcham Vision provides free training for our volunteers so they can really do their best for the community. The new website goes live on 12th July and is intended to be a resource for the community of Thatcham and surrounding villages. The new website and training has been funded by a grant from the DCLG and has been delivered by DevZen. DC

PR for our website Launch

Dr Nick Young of Devzen and some of the marketing team, discuss some of the new features in our website launched 12th July 2016. Invitation to Surrounding Parishes

Not wanting to keep a GOOD THING to ourselves, we have just emailed to local parishes inviting them to submit items for our rolling events calendar (note the correct spelling). After all Thatcham Folk are interested in stuff in the local area and our 26,000 population can help swell any crowd. If you hear of anything that you think would be of interest, then let us know via the contact page and the chances are we shall include it!

Information Portal - A Community Service

Google Maps have a lot of routine Thatcham Town photographs, we can (if we choose to) add new photo's from our own website with the Thatcham Vision logo showing a few more scenes. Would this be useful or beneficial to Thatcham Vision and the town? Another idea worth considering would be to add nearby events, (if they would be useful for our own community) into our own calendar.

THATCHAM VISION BLOG. This article explains the development of Thatcham Vision's new website . OK from the top I'll explain; Thatcham Vision is a voluntary, local group in West Berkshire, we put together the community plan which has been adopted by Thatcham Town Council and noted by West Berkshire Council. We aim to make Thatcham a better place to live & work in by linking all the disparate clubs / societies / churches with individuals in our town and surrounding villages.
