Have I Been Too Hasty in Asking You to Volunteer?

Claire pointed me towards an obscure US website for Utah state. I'm glad I looked because seeing how others experience similar problems is interesting and enlightening - thank you Claire. Anyway the thrust of the article ( link here) is that asking someone to volunteer, on your first meeting is unlikely to be successful. AGM+GCT talk

Chris Boulton CEO of Greenham Common Trust (GCT) gave an absorbing talk on the origins of the Trust along with the history of the common itself. It's in development now so keep you eyes peeled for these new features. Remember our website is there to cover anything that will be of service to the local community, so it includes stuff...

How Do Others Do It

Co-ordinating charity 'Locality' encourages local community action and getting groups to talk to each other often provides impetus & cross fertilisation of ideas helps make this happen. Thatcham Vision recently visited Swanage & Perbeck Development Trust in their new Community Centre. A really interesting day with S&PDT welcoming the three members from Thatcham Vision (TV) who traveled down.
