Information Portal - A Community Service

Google Maps have a lot of routine Thatcham Town photographs, we can (if we choose to) add new photo's from our own website with the Thatcham Vision logo showing a few more scenes. Would this be useful or beneficial to Thatcham Vision and the town? Another idea worth considering would be to add nearby events, (if they would be useful for our own community) into our own calendar.

Invitation to Surrounding Parishes

Not wanting to keep a GOOD THING to ourselves, we have just emailed to local parishes inviting them to submit items for our rolling events calendar (note the correct spelling). After all Thatcham Folk are interested in stuff in the local area and our 26,000 population can help swell any crowd. If you hear of anything that you think would be of interest, then let us know via the contact page and the chances are we shall include it!

We are up and running

Well we are up and running with our very own Senior Citizens webpage. The future looks exciting for those wanting to know more about the goings on in Thatcham. We will inform you of the various events taking place, the coffee mornings being held across town or maybe an afternoon tea meeting with others sharing a common bond. Health is also a major concern with getting older and we intend to find the information you want and gather help when the need arises. Activities come in many forms and many of you may want to take part. From the physical activities of Zoomba, Walking football and...

Community Safety Team takes part in Thatcham Family Fun Day

This photo shows the newly acquired mobile Police van in use at Thatcham Family Fun Day. The Police stand was next door to The Vision stand. Volunteers from the Community Safety team carried out a survey throughout the day asking members of the public about the Police Non-emergency Telephone Number - 101. The team is due to meet again in August and we will discuss the results of the survey and decide how to progress our targets. Initial results show that members of the public DO NOT know the 101 number, but they DO know when to use it! We also found out that most people have not heard of and...
