The new website goes live on 12th July and is intended to be a resource for the community of Thatcham and surrounding villages. The new website and training has been funded by a grant from the DCLG and has been delivered by DevZen. DC

Vision and Youth working to provide Playdays in the Park

Following on from Thatcham Vision’s Community Survey, the group of volunteers responsible for Thatcham’s Parish Plan put together a number of focus groups or“Topic Teams” to further identify the needs of Thatcham. The Childcare and Early Years’ Learning Topic Team recognised a need for low cost events for children during the summer holidays. Thatcham Town Council had previously held “Play Days in the Park” to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics in 2012 and this had been a tremendous success. playday image

Thatcham Vision Refresh

In 2007 Thatcham Vision published their first report, a series of topics, projects and recommendations for things that could be improved within the Thatcham area. These include items such as cycle racks, film and youth clubs, sports facilities, and much more. The information is now five years old and a lot has happened, internationally, nationally and locally that may change some of the information placed in the report(s). As such Thatcham Vision is updating the reports based on information collected from a new questionnaire that will run from October to December 2012.
